Frequently Asked Questions - Yoga

  • What should I wear?

Wear something comfortable that you can move in, maybe a fitted t-shirt or long sleeve top with shorts or leggings. For Bedtime Yoga, you are more than welcome to wear your PJs. Bring a warm layer for relaxation at the end of the practice. Remove shoes and socks during the class so you don’t slip on the mat.

  • Do I need to bring anything?

Please bring a water bottle and a yoga mat if you have one - let me know if you don’t.

For Zoom bedtime yoga, treat yourself with cushions, pillows and blankets. If you have a yoga bolster, bring it along.

For chair yoga, just bring water and you.

  • Do I have to be strong or flexible to do yoga?

No. Your strength and flexibility will develop naturally over time with regular practice. Not only that, but yoga teaches us to drop the struggle and embrace exactly who we are on any given day. No goals and no prerequisites. In class, I will help you to adapt and make the practice your own.

  • What style of yoga do you teach?

My group classes are low to the ground and built around mindful movement, breath awareness, stretching and relaxation. Deeply replenishing, each session is designed to help you feel a-ma-zing from top-to-toe, inside and out.

If you would prefer to practice one2one, I’ll craft a personalised yoga journey for you and meet you wherever you are on any particular day.

I am equally at home teaching mat or chair yoga, a power yoga flow or mindful deep relaxation.

  • Do I have to practice every week?

No. Not at all. Although I can vouch for the tremendous mental and physical benefits of regular practice and carving out time for yourself.

If you can't make it to class but would still like to practice, my free bitesize yoga videos are available morning, noon or night. Yoga with me at a time to suit you.
